The Mystery of Johnny Depp on Robertson Blvd ?
Friday April 30 2010 A Johnny Depp Look-alike fools passers-by on Robertson Ave in Beverly Hills. A camera crew was following the doppelganger and his entourage!
What a day, the goal . . . . to prove that this lookalike could be mistaken for the real Mr. Depp. Ronnie the top Johnny Depp Lookalike and crew set off down Robertson Blvd. Casually they strolled past shops and restaurants. Passersby and shoppers were intrigued ; one woman walked by four times before slipping into a shop to get sneeky peek from behind a manikin . . . .Traffic slowed down; cameras were pulled out for that once in a life time shot. A voice from a passing SUV shouted “We love you Johnny” fifthteen minutes later that same vehicle pulls up beside lookalike Johnny Depp and crew, stopping in the middle of a red zone. Out pops the very shy daughter for a photo with the Johnny. Half a block later a motor cycle pulls to a screeching holt, driver jumps off his bike and throws down his helmet . . . . within seconds he was franticly shooting the Johnny Depp Lookalike. That was the first Paparazzi, within minutes five, six more had joined in the frenzy. We needed to capture on camera public reaction when we told them this Johnny Depp was a lookalike. So we allowed photos to be taken in return for their comments. “OMG ” !You're kidding right” some did not believe he was not the real Johnny. You have to love living in Hollywood you just never know who you may or may not bump into.
Mission accomplished ; the exercise was very successful ; our client was more than convinced that a professional Lookalike who has studied his craft can be cast in many aspects of the entertainment industry from live corporate events to film and television.
